Caesars Palace Roulette Chips

If you look real close in the postcard below you can see there are $5HHR, possible $25HHR and PLAIN roulette chips on this table! Based on the inserts of the $5 chips there is no doubt that these are the HHR chips and were used on the tables thus answering a question I've always had as to whether these were ever used on the tables as all of these chips that I've seen are in MINT condition. As for the $25 chips, they could be TCR#4626 as they have the same insert combination as the HHR $25's but I doubt it as the Caesar/ Scroll issue was later than this postcard appears to be. Unfortunately, the postcard has no printing date on it as it would have been nice if there was a date to clear up the "order" of Caesars Palace releases. Most say the H.C.E. chips were first but the Campiglia/Wells Book lists the HHR chips as first issue and they just may be correct! Based on the type of roulettes on the table at the time of this photo I'd think that this was a 1966 opening picture as I don't think Caesars would go from their "personalized" logo roulettes to a plain variety. I also believe that the H.C.E. chips with just a HS "Caesars Palace" on them may NOT have been roulettes after all! With no table ID on them, I think they may have been used for some other purpose. I'm sure Caesars opened with more than ONE roulette table and with NO ID, how did they tell the chips apart???

Here's the scan of the postcard and a "blow-up" of the chip area clearly showing the chips in use.
